5 Bridal Makeup Tips To Come To Your Rescue This Winter
Winter is considered to be the best wedding season in India and we totally agree on this. After all, it’s that time of the year when you can dress to your heart’s desire without worrying about sweating. But the only thing that bothers our brides during this season is how to take care of makeup as the skin tends to lose moisture and becomes dry. So, today we bring to you a few handy bridal makeup tips that will help you to achieve the best bridal look during winter.
Cleansing and moisturizing
We have been hearing of these two steps of skincare since childhood – cleansing and moisturizing and we all know they work wonder, especially during winter. They protect our skin from dryness and redness and help to get back the natural glow. Follow these steps religiously at least, a month prior to the wedding. Clean your face with cleansing lotion/face wash that suits your skin the best and moisturizes it with cold cream or moisturizing lotion.
Since winter is the time your skin becomes flaky, it’s important you choose a suitable base makeup for your skin. Make sure it suits your skin type and also the temperature and does not give a dry and dull look to your face. Use hydrating primer first as it will retain the moisture of your skin and then the foundation. Now by foundation, we mean winter foundation which has a minimal content of moisturizer yet does not make the skin look flashy.
Whether you want rosy cheeks or no makeup look that’s absolutely your choice. Here what we want to say is avoid powder blush and go for cream blush as the former dries your skin. And yes, whichever blush colour you choose, make sure that it complements your overall bridal ensemble.
P.S. If your skin is extremely oily then you can choose powder blush over a cream blush.
If you ask me, I would say eye makeup is the most important part of bridal makeup because it can either make your look or can break your look. So, be careful with your eye makeup and since it’s winter now choose the products carefully. Ensure that your eyeliner does not crack because of dryness or your eyelids do not look dry. You can try bright colour shadows as winter is the time to play around with colours or can go for smoky eyes for adding the oomph factor.
Again for avoiding dry look, choose a lipstick that has an adequate amount of moisturizer for keeping the lips hydrated. If your lips tend to get too dry in winter then apply lip balm first and then the lipstick. It will retain the moisture and avoid getting cracks. But again it should not give too much glossy look either. If you want to stick to no makeup look then choose a natural lip colour like light pink or go for a bright shade like red, maroon or orange for adding a little more glam.
